Sad Day....

If you live in the Midwest and head to your local craft brew store and find they have sold their last bottle or mini keg of Oberon there is only one thing that can mean....summer is over and in the words of "Game of Thrones" winter is coming....  It is an inevitable truth that summer can only last so long as a Midwesterner but its short months make you appreciate the time even more.

Oberon is one of the staple beers of Bell's Brewery.  The wheat ale is crafted using Bell's own special house ale yeast.  A subtle hop character leads to a huge citrus body.  Unlike beers like Blue Moon Oberon does not require an added orange to subsidize flavor.  The citrus body has a slight spice to it making it hard to tell if orange or lemon that stands out.  The flavor is not overwhelming and on a hot summer day out on the lake this beer can easily be titled a "Session" beer.

Next spring as the temps start to heat up and Oberon arrives back on shelves..smile...grab a six pack...and know sunny days are here again.
